About Dono James

Hi, I'm Dono (Dah-Know) James, and I'm your friendly neighborhood real estate professional. I have been living in Maryland since 2003, and for all this state has done for me, I look at this as an opportunity to give back. I started investing in real estate in 2020, and in 2024, I realized there was still a lot for me to learn, so I started studying for my realtor license, and finally got appointed in 2025. What I love about real estate is the opportunity it provides for people who have it. Some may want to invest in a property, some may want a building to start their business, some may want a place to create priceless memories with their families, and some may want a house just to say they have one. Regardless, whatever you want to do with the property you want, or already have, I am here to make it happen, and I have more than enough means to do it. 

I may be new to the business, but I have the resources and support of many world renowned professionals, so whatever needs you have, I will find the solution best for you. Also, on top of my realtor license, I have my Mortgage Loan Origination (MLO) license, so if you allow me, I can take care of both parts of the process, and save you a little time. However, the most important credential I have to offer is service and care. Whenever you have a conversation with me, my mission is to talk less and listen more, so I can know what your situation is, and what you expect from me.  I want to know what makes you happy, and how I can accomplish it. I promise to keep you first in mind every step of the way, and we will not move forward until I know YOU are comfortable.

Some of you may be wondering what I charge because of your worries around affordability, and I understand. In a world where costs are increasing all around us, including agent commissions, my standard rate for most homes is 5%, which would mean 2.5% on your end. Also, when the time comes to get the mortgage, I intend to keep my commission at 1%, so you can keep your arm and leg at closing. I know you'll be excited to sign with me when we meet, but just know, I try to only have 3 parties under contract at a time up until closing. I do this because I want to make sure each person/family gets as much of my undivided attention as they need, so when I work with you, you know I really am WITH you.
